Young Professionals Webinar: Growing Careers in the Green Industry

The Green Industry offers exciting opportunities for young professionals who are passionate about plants, people, and the environment. Whether you work in landscape management, nursery production, turfgrass management, arboriculture, garden centers, or another horticulture-related field, the first years of your career can shape your future success.

Join the Young Professionals of the Green Industry webinar on August 27th for an engaging discussion on how to thrive in today’s evolving industry. Designed for professionals 35 and younger or with less than 10 years of experience, this interactive webinar will provide practical advice from industry leaders and peers who have successfully navigated the challenges of launching their careers.

Participants will explore topics such as transitioning from school to the workforce, building professionalism and credibility, developing leadership skills, and expanding professional networks. The webinar will also highlight the importance of communication, teamwork, mentorship, and industry involvement through organizations such as the INLA (Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association), IAA (Indiana Arborist Association), and MRTF (Midwest Regional Turf Foundation).

In addition, attendees will gain insights into career advancement opportunities, strategies for managing workplace challenges and preventing burnout, and emerging trends shaping the future of the industry.

The session will conclude with a live Q&A and a personal challenge for participants to take the next step in their professional growth—whether that means finding a mentor, joining a professional association, earning a certification, attending an industry event, or developing a new leadership skill.

If you’re looking to grow your career, build meaningful industry connections, and position yourself for future leadership opportunities, this webinar is for you. Come learn how to put down strong roots and build a successful future in the green industry.
