The 2019 Indiana Arborist Association Annual Conference will be held in Indianapolis at the Indianapolis Marriott East, January 22-24th, 2019. The IAA and our partners will be offering a full 3-day program with educational opportunities and trade show for anyone involved in planning, planting or managing trees in the built environment.
The conference proceedings will begin on Tuesday morning with a full day focused on urban forestry issues and current trends. Important topics such as the influence of climate change on tree selection, and creating high-performance trees. We are excited to hear the results of a 10-year student on the impacts of construction on trees from Dr. Richard Hauer from the University of Wisconsin and how storms over the urban forest are having an impact on the trees in our cities and towns. Community planning for local governments regarding managing natural resources to their full potential will be provided by Kara Salazar of Purdue University. There will be focused education on topics for utility vegetation management, arboricultural practices and managing trees in your community.
The conference will continue with many educational sessions and opportunities for CEU’s and CCH’s for the credentialed and licensed attendee. Speakers from all over the country providing information on research, current trends and industry issues. For more information, see our website at www.indianaarborist.com
